What is Small Talk?
Small talk is considered by many to be a very stressful social task, so if you feel that way, you're not alone! In this brief course, we're going to explore strategies to take the burdon out of small talk and make it an opportunity that works for you.
What does the course cover?
In this course, participants learn specific steps to follow to start, maintain and conclude brief conversations (small talk) with strangers, families members and friends. The course uses video, teaching, role-play and peer feedback to help master the skills needed to improve confidence and ability to successfully use small talk in social settings.

Dr. Benton is a child psychologist and co-founder of Arkansas Families First. He conducts psychological evaluations and provides treatment to children, teens and young adults ranging in age from 2 to 25. Dr. Benton's specialty areas include High Functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder, anxiety, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
