Jenny’s Bio:
I have spent over 10 years working in the coordinated response to child abuse with Child Advocacy Centers. I believe that family collaboration is important in treating and recovering from trauma. I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior therapy (TF-CBT) and crisis case management. I like to incorporate my training as a yoga/fitness instructor including relaxation and mindfulness techniques in my sessions. I have experience in developing and leading teen support groups for at-risk girls {ages 15-18}. While I have a lot of experience with child maltreatment I also have worked with couples and families overcoming some very distressing events to help them find stability. I use techniques from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and the Gottman model for couples. I am seasoned in testifying in court regarding child maltreatment and custody issues. I enjoy helping children and families adjust to events that disrupt their feeling of safety and security. Allow me to help you find an approach that works for you and your family’s unique needs.
